PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for estimating driving intention for estimating driving intentions of a driver with high precision.;SOLUTION: The device for estimating driving intentions sets a plurality of hypothetical drivers respectively having the intentions, calculates driving operation amounts of each hypothetical driver at the present time on the basis of driving environments of current own vehicles, and calculates approximation degrees between the driving operation amounts of the hypothetical drivers and the driving operation amounts of an actual driver. The device generates dynamic driving intention sequences of each hypothetical driver from the present to the nearest preceding predetermined time, calculates driving operation amount sequence approximation degrees of the hypothetical drivers at each driving intention sequence and estimates the driving intention of the hypothetical driver having the highest approximation degree, as the driving intention of the actual drivers.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
