PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring test of a leakage hole size in which the size is related with the leakage hole accurately, without being influenced by existing surrounding ground water and air, with about 10 minutes test time, in a leakage test instrument defined by authorization by law of a tank laid underground in a gas station and a tank vessel mounted on a tank vehicle.;SOLUTION: In this method, using a means for detection which is characterized by a wave form of a leakage vibration, the vibration wave form of the leakage hole is detected. Further, the characteristics from a frequency axis which the wave form of the leakage vibration has is sought for. A detection of a feeble leakage signal and the small leakage hole is put in practical use, by using a characteristic circuit and a processing method which are extracted from the frequency axis, without being influenced by wave height voltage value. Even if it is the underground tank, it is not influenced by surrounding ground water, air or the like, because of using a solid internal propagation type vibration detector in which outer shell of the tank vessel is used as a propagation pathway of the leakage vibration, and it is not influenced by a distance between the leakage hole and the detector and by the content inside of the tank vessel, as applying the wave form detection means of the leakage vibration.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
