PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for rapidly separating a specific charged solute in a definite composition.;SOLUTION: The method is a method for performing electrostatic repulsion-hydrophilic interaction chromatography on a protein, a peptide, or an amino acid and comprises the step of providing a column having an anion-exchange material at a pH of less than about 4, and eluting the compound using a mobile phase containing an organic solvent in an amount sufficient to substantially balance the electrostatic repulsion of the stationary phase with the hydrophilic interaction. In another aspect, a method for performing electrostatic repulsion-hydrophilic interaction chromatography on a nucleic acid or nucleotide comprises the step of providing a column having a cation-exchange material at a pH of less than about 3.4, and eluting the compound using a mobile phase containing an organic solvent in an amount sufficient to substantially balance the electrostatic repulsion of the stationary phase with hydrophilic interaction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
