PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive variable inductor capable of continuously changing an inductance value without being accompanied by the degradation in a Q value.;SOLUTION: When a control voltage is applied from a power source 32 to the control terminal 26 of a MOS type transistor 20, a conductive area is formed in a channel 30 and main terminals 22 and 24 are turned into a conductive state. When the control voltage is changed, the width of the conductive area in the channel 30 is changed, the width of the path of an induced current flowing to an induced current film 12 is changed as well, and an induced current amount is increased/decreased. In the meantime, the inductance value of a coil 14 varies in relation to the induced current amount flowing to the induced current film 12.
