PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection part, a bulk cargo handling device and an air-tightness retaining method for a connection part capable of ensuring air-tight function and telescopic function by a relatively simple constitution in the connection part of the bulk cargo handling device or the like for bulk cargo generating an inflammable gas such as a natural gas hydrate.;SOLUTION: At the connection part for connecting and separating a connection upper part 3a and a connection lower part 20a, a partition part 3ad provided on the connection upper part 3a is inserted to a liquid reservoir part 20bd provided on the connection lower part 20a, the liquid reservoir part 20bd is divided to an inner peripheral side chamber 20be and an outer peripheral side chamber 20bf, and a lower part of the inner peripheral side chamber 20be and the outer peripheral side chamber 20bf is communicated such that a liquid B is circulated.
