PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver which receives radio broadcasting by effectively utilizing an existing slot without increasing slots and consequently solves the problem such as increase in size and cost of the receiver.;SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver 40 includes a slot 47 to which adapters 30 of two kinds of shapes respectively mounted with cards 20 can be mounted, wherein the slot 47 is equipped with a detection switch 49 for detecting a difference in the shape of the mounted adapter 30 and is configured to discriminate the mounted card as a radio card and to permit reception of radio broadcasting when a 3.3 V adapter is detected, or to discriminate the mounted card as a descrambling card and to permit predetermined scrambled broadcasting to be descrambled when a 5 V adapter is detected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
