PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device, an image forming device, an output format setting method, and an output form setting program capable of readily establishing the processing conditions to image data. PSOLUTION: A scanner 110 acquires image data, and a format determining portion 152 determines format information from the acquired image data, wherein the format information indicates characteristics for limiting the position of a browsing axis, which is the axis of turning over a page of printout medium with the image data. A browsing axis determining portion 153 determines the position of the browsing axis, based on the determined format information; an output form menu formation portion 154 restricts format information which can be established with the position of the browsing axis determined by the browsing determination portion 153, among format information which is process condition to be established to the image data; and an operation display control portion 151 receives the input of the restricted format information.
