Equipment leakage and ammonia abatement methods

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detoxify ammonia without spraying water directly onto a refrigerator or a heat pump, to dispense with a large scale of facility, to require no initial cost, to reduce a spray water amount, and to surely prevent ammonia from being leaked out of an installation section for the refrigerator or the like.;SOLUTION: In this method and device for detoxifying the ammonia by spraying the water within the section 1 installed with the equipment to absorb the ammonia into the water, as to the leaked ammonia gas leaked from the refrigerator or the heat pump using the ammonia as a refrigerant, the water is sprayed within a sealable ventilation duct (detoxifying section) 7 provided adjacent to the section 1 and communicated with an inside of the section, the leaked ammonia gas is absorbed into the water, an inside of the detoxifying section 7 is thereby brought into negative pressure to suck the ammonia gas, and the ammonia is thereby detoxified further.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
