PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for thawing a frozen food, by which the quality of the pre-frozen food can be restored, when the frozen food is thawed.;SOLUTION: Frozen foods are received in the thawing device, and air in the thawing apparatus is circulated with a blower 15. Each frozen food is thawed with a heating heat exchanger 14 according to a temperature pattern prescribed for each frozen food. When the thawing is finished, a damper 16 is opened to guide the outer air into the thawing apparatus and simultaneously discharge the gas in the thawing apparatus. Thereby, the temperature of the air in the thawing apparatus is approximately balanced with the temperature of the outside. When the frozen food is packaged with a packaging material and thawed, the air in the thawing apparatus is heated so that the temperature of the air in the thawing apparatus is higher than the temperature of the packaging material and the surface temperature of the frozen food.
