PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multipurpose bookstand for allowing a user to perform reading in the best comfortable posture in response to a case on a desk, a lap, or a pillow.;SOLUTION: The multipurpose bookstand of the present invention is obtained by separating a conventional bookstand into two, i.e., book-rest boards and a book-rest board table. The book-rest boards include two plywood boards (a base board and a holding board) where a lower part is made to be a hinge state. The covers of an opened book in right and left are held between both the boards and the upper parts of both the boards are fitted by book-fitting clippers, so as to fix the book to the book-rest boards. The right, left, upper and lower parts of an opened page opened by extraction onto the holding board are fitted onto the book-rest boards by using of page-fitting clippers. The book-rest boards with the book mounted thereon are placed at a prescribed place of the book-rest board table. By the combination of the boards with the table, a reading posture for the cases on the desk and on the pillow, and the like, is selected. A slidable writing table is placed on the book-rest board table, so that the user can put an arm on the writing table or take a note on it.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
