PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy sheet for a magnetic disk, which imparts high smoothness to the surface of a plated substrate with NiP for the magnetic disk to be produced, imparts excellent impact resistance to the plated substrate for the magnetic disk, and imparts superior machinability to an aluminum alloy substrate to reduce a material cost; the aluminum alloy substrate for the magnetic disk; and a method for manufacturing the alloy sheet.;SOLUTION: This aluminum alloy sheet comprises a core material and skin materials which clad both sides of the core material. The core material is made from an aluminum alloy including at least Mg, by mass% hereafter, in an amount of 6% to 15%. The skin material is made from an aluminum alloy comprising less than 2% Mg, 0.005% to 0.1% Si, 0.005% to 0.1% Fe, 0.02% to 0.35% Cr, further at least one of 0.01% to 0.2% Cu and 0.01% to 0.4% Zn, and the balance Al with unavoidable impurities.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
