PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accompaniment information setting device permitting to easily apply an accompaniment style data added to a data for a piece of music to another piece of music, and to provide a program for realizing accompaniment information setting method.;SOLUTION: When the device is brought into a reproduction mode, and a user selects a piece of music, the data for the selected piece of music is read from an external storage device, and then, when the user instructs reproduction, the accompaniment style data which is presently usable is disabled for the use, next, if accompaniment style information is added to the data for the selected piece of music, the accompaniment style data is selected, and further, if the accompaniment style data is usable for the device, this accompaniment style data is set to be usable. Then, this usable state of this accompaniment style data is maintained as it is even if the mode is changed over to a music composition mode, and it is not until a new accompaniment style is selected that the accompaniment style data corresponding to the selected accompaniment style is set to be usable.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
