VACCINE THERAPY FOR CHOROIDAL NEOVASCULARIZATION.

It is tried to determine the presence or absence of the effectiveness of the vaccination with a VEGFR-2-derived peptide which is known as one of the proteins involved in neovascularization by administering the peptide to a model mouse capable of expressing human HLA-A*0201 (an A2/Kb transgenic mouse). As a result, it is found that a vaccine containing the peptide as an antigen is effective on the inhibition of the neovascularization in a choroid. Thus, disclosed is a vaccine for the treatment or prevention or both of a disease induced by the neovascularization in a choroid (neovascular maculopathy), which comprises a VEGFR-2-derived peptide as an active ingredient.
