The Bacillus subtilis strain BL 1808 (CECT 7312) is isolated and characterized for inoculation in the organic matrix of timber during its formation. The organic matrix is formed of organic, agricultural or forestry waste. A homogenous mixture of a microorganism concentrate with flour r dust of the ligneous residues is obtained followed by mixing with polymeric synthetic resins. An independent claim is also included for a method for applying the Bacillus subtilis strain BL 1808 (CECT 7312) for degradation of timber formed of compact material.
