The invention alerts blind or blind/deaf individualsat street intersections that crossing may be safelyaccomplished.Improvement over current "feux sonores" replacessounds with individual vibration units.Radio wave signals from a directional transmitter,mounted on traffic light standard activate a batterypowered receiver, (with a manually operatedon/off switch), mounted in/on the cane handle usedby the impaired, which vibrates at different pre-set levels,alerting the user when it is safe to cross.Localized non-impaired persons will not be inconviencedby "feux sonore" sounds.
