METHOD, SYSTEM AND COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR SEARCHING DIGITAL CONTENTS BASED ON METADATA OF SAMPLE ELEMENTS

A solution is proposed for searching digital contents (such as images) in adata processing system. Each digitalcontent is associated with metadata that describes it; the metadata includes aset of (one or more) fields each one adapted to take aset of (one or more) values. A corresponding method (A1-A9) starts with thestep of providing (A9) a set of sample digital contents(such as resulting from a previous search). One ore more values (or partthereof) of one or more fields of the sample digital contentsare selected - such as by dragging corresponding graphical representationstowards a selection widget (A1-A3). It is then possibleto retrieve (A4-A9) a set of digital contents, which correspond to theselected parts of the selected values of the selected fields (suchas by combining them into a query).
