The present invention provides a method for decreasing false signals in immunoassay to detect a multimeric form of multimer-forming polypeptides with an antibody, which comprises the step of contacting a biosample with NADPH (Nicotiamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (reduced form)) and a method for differentially detecting a multimeric form from a monomeric form of multimer- forming polypeptides in a biosample. The present invention may differentially detect a multimeric form from a monomeric form of multimer-forming polypeptides easily in a high-throughput manner. The present invention may detect a multimeric form of multimer-forming polypeptides associated with various diseases in a high-throughput manner and particularly is very efficient to detect a scrapie form of prion.
