The invention relates to a two-part mandibular protrusion orthesis (1) for preventing against snoring and obstructive sleep apnea comprising lower (2) and top (3) parts each of which consists of a shelf (2a, 3a) which is rigid, shapeable and open towards the low and top jaws, wherein the bottom surfaces on the external sides of the shelves (2a, 3a) are connected in such a way that they are continuously displaceable with respect to each other. The invention also relates to a corresponding ready-to-use set for producing or restoring the mandibular protrusion orthesis comprising (i) the rigid and shapeable shelves (2a, 3a) provided with preformed fixing elements on the external sides of the bottom, respectively, (ii) one or several adjusting screws (10) for assembling the fixing elements and (iii) optionally with a user manual.
