A method, communication system and related equipment for locating user resource which are used to realize locating user resource when the resource managers are organized in tree structure. The present invention includes: the second resource manager receives the information for locating the user which is sent by the first resource manager; the second resource manager locates user resource according to the information for locating the user. The present invention also provides a communication system and some related equipments. The present invention can effectually realize locating user resource when the resource managers are organized in tree structure.
