An image processing device includes a position information storage section for storing information relating to the position of an image pixel having a defective color filter out of the two-dimensionally arrayed image pixels of an image device having color filters of a plurality of colors, a correction coefficient storage section for storing a correction coefficient used to correct the pixel value of a defective image pixel, if any, a correction subject pixel position setting section for setting the position of a correction subject pixel by using the position information, a correction subject pixel data extracting section for extracting the pixel value of the correction subject pixel, an another-color pixel data extracting section for extracting the another-color pixel value of an image pixel disposed around the correction subject pixel and having a color filter of a color different from that of the color filter of the correction subject pixel, and pixel data correcting section for correcting the pixel value of the correction subject pixel by calculating the weighted sum of the pixel value of the correction subject pixel and the another-color pixel value by using the correction coefficient.
