APPARATUS FOR GENERATING MASS OF WATER VAPOR, APPARATUS FOR GENERATING/MOVING/ELEVATING MASS OF WATER VAPOR, AND METHOD OF GENERATING ARTIFICIAL RAINFALL

An apparatus for generating a mass of water vapor is provided with which a thin water film is formed and the water of this thin water film is effectively vaporized to generate a mass of water vapor. An apparatus for generating/moving/elevating a mass of water vapor is also provided with which the mass of water vapor generated is moved in the direction of a region where the mass is needed or is elevated to a height where the mass is needed to thereby generate an artificial rainfall. The apparatuses are equipped with: water film formation members (1) which float on the water surface of a water source, absorb water from the water source based on capillary action or water retentivity, and form, on a part thereof above the water surface, a thin water film to be exposed to sunlight; and a means of driftage prevention which prevents the water film formation members (1) disposed on the water surface from drifting away. The apparatuses allow the water contained in the thin water film to be vaporized by the energy of sunlight to generate a mass of water vapor (C) in the sky. Furthermore, the water vapor mass (C) is heated with an air-heating controller constituted of heating members whose surfaces have been colored. Thus, the water vapor mass is elevated and an artificial rainfall is generated.
