A settlement service using a set top box for using IPTV without separate equipment is provided to supply a settlement service for requesting payment through the set top box individually provided through business carrier having IP network and supply various contents such as settlement and sale management by using the set top box for using IPTV. A gateway server receives payment information obtained from a reader from a set top box(S100). The gateway server transmits the received payment information to banking facility server and requests a confirmation(S200). Settlement approval information which the banking facility server approves is transmitted from the banking facility server(S300). The settlement approval information is transmitted to the set top box and is drawn out from the set top box to user through the display device(S400).
