OPTICAL INTERCONNECTION SYSTEM USING OPTICAL WAVEGUIDE-INTEGRATED OPTICAL PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD

An optical connection system using an optical waveguide integrated optical printed circuit board is provided to integrally connect an optical connection block with a fiber for an optical waveguide, thereby minimizing optical loss. An optical waveguide is laminated inside a printed circuit board to form an optical printed circuit board(304). A light emitting device(401) is arranged with an optical waveguide of a transmitter optical connection block of the optical printed circuit board. A driver integrated circuit(403) is on an upper part of the optical printed circuit board. The driver integrated circuit is electrically to the light emitting device and the optical printed circuit board. A light receiving element(402) is arranged in the optical waveguide of the receiver optical connection block of the optical printed circuit board. A receiver integrated circuit(404) is on an upper part of the optical printed circuit board. The receiver integrated circuit is electrically to the light receiving element and the optical printed circuit board.
