METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CANCELING THE NON-UNIFORM RADIATION PATTERNS IN ARRAY SPEAKER SYSTEM

A method and an apparatus for canceling the non-uniform radiation patterns in array speaker system are provided to realize the private sound zone delivering the concentrated acoustic to user without the distortion of the tone quality. An array speaker system removing the dispersion radiation pattern comprises a signal input part(210), a radiation pattern estimator(220), a removal signal generator(230), a signal corrector(240), a signal mixer(250), and a signal processing part(260). The signal input part copies the acoustic signal inputted to the array speaker system and delays the copied acoustic signal. The radiation pattern estimator predicts the radiation pattern at the array speaker about the input signal. The canceling signal generating unit produces the canceling signal about the non-uniform radiation pattern. The signal mixer synthesizes the input signal and the canceling signal. The signal processing part outputs the synthesized signal through the array speaker.
