An in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display device for improving the image quality while improving an opposite angle direction contrast ratio in a dark state is provided to improve the contrast ratio of a diagonal viewing angle by reducing the light leakage of a diagonal direction. A first polarizing plate(105) is positioned in a lower part of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel(110). The first polarizer includes a first supporting body, an optical compensation film and a first azimuth rotator positioned between the first supporter and the first optically compensatory film. A second polarizer is positioned in the upper part of the LCD panel. The second polarizer includes a second supporter, a second optically compensatory film and a second azimuth rotator positioned between the second supporter and the second optically compensatory film. The second optically compensatory film and the first optically compensatory film are positioned in the top and lower part of the respective LCD panel.
