A food and pharmaceutical composition for detoxifying cytotoxic materials containing deep ocean water from Korea East Sea are provided to activate detoxification enzymes to inactivate toxic materials and discharge the toxic materials from a human body to the outside. A food composition contains deep ocean water from The East Sea as an active ingredient. The food composition activates quinone reductase and glutathinone-S-transferase and increases the content of reduced glutathione and detoxifies cytotoxic materials. The deep ocean water is collected at the bottom of The Ease Sea and desalted and concentrated. The hardness of the deep ocean water is adjusted to 0~1500 with the help of mineral. Detoxifying cytotoxic materials is targeted to liver cells. A pharmaceutical composition contains the deep ocean water as the active ingredient in order to activate the quinone reductase and glutathinone-S-transferase and to increase the content of reduced glutathione.
