A measuring system for an optical lens and a method for measuring the characteristic of the lens using the same are provided to measure optical characteristic like focal distance of the lens and resolution accurately by horizontalizing first and second holders. A measuring system for an optical lens comprises a first mount unit(M1), a second mount unit(M2), and a fixing unit. The first mount unit is equipped on a base and comprises a first holder(140) and a tilting unit(120) controlling the slope of the first holder. The second mount unit is equipped on the base and comprises a second holder arranged on the top of the first holder and a cylinder(230) surrounding the first holder. The fixing unit fixes an optical element mounted on the second holder(240).
