PURPOSE: An electronic power assistance steering system is provided to effectually prevent rattle noise and vibration generated by the backlash of a worm gear from being transmitted to a worm bearing by mounting an elastic body having damping function between a worm and a worm bearing.;CONSTITUTION: An electronic power assistance steering system is composed of a worm wheel(114), a worm shaft(104), an elastic body(120), a housing, and a motor. The worm wheel is mounted on a steering shaft. The worm geared with the worm is formed in the worm shaft, and at least one side of the worm shaft is supported with a worm bearing(106). The elastic body is formed between the worm and the worm bearing to perform damping function. The worm wheel and the worm shaft are formed in the housing. The motor is mounted in the housing to drive the worm shaft. The plate washer is formed at the axial side of the elastic body. An elastic body housing(123) surrounds the remaining surfaces of the elastic body. At least one protrusion is formed on the surface of the washer facing to the elastic body.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
