CONSTITUTION: A streaming reproduction system for a scalable video comprises a providing server and an SVC contents reproducing device(100). The providing server provides the scalable video. The SVC contents reproducing device receives and reproduces the streamed scalable video by comprising an SVC video storage unit(20), a video processor(30), an SVC video packet receiving unit(10) and a reproduction controller(40). The SVC video storage unit previously stores the SVC bit stream of the first SVC video. An SVC video requester(46) requests the second SVC video from an external SVC contents providing server.
