Traffic Flow Control Method in the Traffic Jam Intersection Joining Upper and Lower Road

A method for controlling traffic flow at traffic jammed intersections joined by upper and lower roads is provided to easily control the traffic flow by applying independently straight signals on the upper and lower roads. In a method for controlling traffic flow at an intersection joined by upper and lower roads, the upper roads are positioned at both sides of the lower road. Traffic signals on the upper and lower roads are independently applied at the intersection. When traffic signals for the upper roads are generated, straight on the upper road and left turning on the lower road are performed. When traffic signals for the lower roads are generated, straight and left turning on the lower road are performed. Left turning signal toward the lower road in a road opposite to the lower road is removed. Vehicles for left turn are passed through the intersection and performed U turn through the upper road. Then, the vehicles are entered to the left road after the U turn.
