A method for bonding a coolant charging tube of a plate type heat transfer unit is provided to make melted welding base metal sink into a gap between a tube and a case by using capillary force such that completeness degree of the bonding work can be increased and throughput can be enhanced. A method for bonding a coolant charging tube of a plate type heat transfer unit includes the following several steps. An upper case(110) and a lower case(120) are positioned in order to form an inner space for accommodating a heat transfer medium. At this time, an installation hole in correspondence with a shape of a coolant charging tube(140) is formed on a side wall of the upper case and the lower case for making the coolant charging tube inserted into the installation hole. Welding base metal(130) is arranged along a bonding line between the upper case and the lower case. The base metal is previously deformed according to the bonding line and the shape of the installation hole. The coolant charging tube gets inserted into the installation hole, the deformed welding base metal is seated along the bonding line and the shape of the tube, and then a case assembly is set. The cases are bonded with the coolant charging tube at one time via a welding process.
