The connection is to join a hollow shaft (2) carrying a sprocket (1) to another shaft passing through it or similar counterpiece. The hollow shaft has a slotted region (4) to take the other shaft. There is at least one additional part (8) which exerts force between the clamping element (3) and the hollow shaft even before the clamping element is tightened, thus preventing relative movement between the clamping element and the hollow shaft.
