The polishing machine (1) has two polishing stations (3) with rotary working disks which are arranged around a central turning disk (2). Two guiding and pressing stations are mounted for a workpiece holder. The workpiece holder is fixed at the guiding and pressing station move to the polishing station by the central turning disk. The workpiece holder is pressed by the guiding and pressing station on the working disks.
