The system has a fixed contact (10) and a movable contact (20) e.g. rotatably supported contact arm, arranged in a yoke (31) of a slot motor (30) such that magnetic field of the yoke causes a contact lifting force at the movable contact during application with current over a preset threshold value. A flap anchoring system interrupts the magnetic field of the yoke during application of current over a preset threshold value such that an anchoring flap (40) is accelerated for releasing the contact lifting force to the movable contact.
