The method involves operating an electric machine as a generator or as an engine. Power output of a hybrid drive required during a low load range is supplied by the electric machine. An internal-combustion engine is started when load requirement is above the low load range, where 25 percentage of maximum power of the hybrid drive are provided during the low load range. The internal-combustion engine is started, operated and stopped exclusively by biogenous fuel supply. Power output of the combustion engine during high load range is provided by the electric machine.
