The device (10) has a brush holder (20) comprising holding arms (22) extending along an axial direction and provided in equal distances to corresponding grooves. A press-fit surface (223) is provided on an inner side of each holding arm and cooperates with press-fit edges (231, 232) of curved plates (23) to form a press-fit mechanism for a brush belt of a contact brush, where bristles of the brush are made of metal. An elastic circular sealing ring (50) is radially arranged in a space between the holding arms and the curved plates, and is compressed by the brush holder and brush belt.
