The rotary driven brush consists of a brush holder (1) holding a circular brush (2) with axial and radial clearance. Bristles (4) protrude outwards from a flexible brush strip (3). Axial arms (6) on the brush holder grip over bristle free parts of the strip. The annular surface (7) of the brush holder has an external diameter (Da) less than the inner diameter (Di) of the annular brush gripping over the annular surface. The radial gap (Ar) between the annular surface and the axial arms is a multiple of the thickness (S) of the brush strip whose width (B) is less than the axial gap (Aa) between radial flanges (8) on both sides of the annular surface or between radial flanges on one side and a tightening disc (10) for the brush. ADVANTAGE - The rotary brush gives intensive treatment to the surface being cleaned.
