Thermoplastic molding material comprises at least a polyamide (50-99 wt.%), a multifunctional reagent (0.01-10 (preferably 0.3-0.8) wt.%) increasing the viscosity of polyamide and an elastomer modifier (0.1-30 (preferably 3-8) wt.%). Independent claims are included for: (1) producing the thermoplastic molding material, comprising mixing the above components in the corresponding parts by weight; (2) producing monofilaments, comprising transferring the thermoplastic molding material in granulates, drying the granulates or a granulate mixture to be prepared before at least 6 weeks at 80[deg] C, until reaching a moisture content of maximum 0.04%, melting the granulates subsequently in a single-screw extruder and spinning the melts; and (3) the monofilaments, obtained by the above process.
