The counter has a cylindrical or tubular pipe (260) that serves as cathode, where each end of the pipe is gas-tightly locked by sealing covers (160, 180). An anode is arranged in a longitudinal axis of the pipe, where the anode is fastened to one of the covers. Metering gas is provided in the cathode. The anode and the cathode are electrically connected with an evaluation unit (210). The cathode and the anode are bendably designed. A set of distance pieces (140) is designed in a plate or disk-shape, where the anode is guided into an opening in a middle point of one of the pieces.
