The electrically erasable thyristor (1) has a terminal anode (A) and a cathode (K) and two gate or control terminals. The connections of anode and cathode are provided for controlling and disconnecting current flow between anode and cathode. The controlling of the current flow takes place between anode and cathode by bridged turn off thyristor through the controlling with a no positive voltage at control terminals and between cathodes.
