The method involves deforming a pearlitic ferritic steel with a temperature above room temperature and below recrystallization temperature and with a logarithmic natural strain of more than o.8. Steel is transformed into the pearlitic ferritic steel by isothermal roasting, and the cooled steel is subjected to a chipping process, where deforming of the steel takes place with a temperature below a blue brittleness temperature or with a temperature between 100 degree Celsius and 320 degree Celsius.
