The method involves coating metal products i.e. steel wires, by molten metal i.e. zinc, using heavy gas e.g. non-oxidizing gas, at molecular weight greater than or equal to 40, where the gas does not decompose at temperatures below 500 degree centigrade. The gas is preheated to a temperature between 50 degree centigrade, where the gas is selected from a group consisting of argon, krypton or xenon, molecules containing carbon and fluorine, carbon dioxide, sulfur hexafluoride, octafluoropropane, freon or halon gas, and vapor of silicon. An independent claim is also included for an installation for coating metal products.
