The brake assembly has an electromotive driving unit for a brake booster support (2) with a piston. A handling unit is provided over a supply line (ZL), which is connected with an air brake pipe (BL) or the brake booster support, particularly with working chambers (A-1,A-2). The brake fluid is discharged from a storage container in the working chambers of the brake booster support. A controlled valve is arranged in the supply line for opening and closing the supply line. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a brake assembly.
