The device has a deployment channel (1), an air bag container (2) containing a gas envelope (4), air bag holders (3a, 3b), and a gas generator (5), where the air bag holders are present as inserts to the deployment channel, the air bag container and the gas generator and forms an assembly with air bag holders. The air bag holders are integrated with the air bag container and form an assembly with air bag container. The deployment channel, air bag container, the air bag holders, and the gas generator are attached to a carrier (6) in a vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for installation of air bag device i.e. passenger air bag device, in a motor vehicle.
