The device has a slide (6) with a recess (9), where the slide is inclined to a horizontal plane, and a bakery product is arranged in the recess and does not overlie on a preset contact surface of the recess. The slide has a guiding rail (13) for guiding the bakery product along a preset path in the slide, and the recess leads to a discharging channel (10) that extends transverse to the inclination of the slide till a lateral edge (11). The lateral edge is arranged above a conveying surface such that the bakery product discharged by the discharging channel falls into the conveying surface. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting a position of a bakery product.
