The pump (1) has a drive shaft (3) comprising a cam (8) that is attached to pump assemblies (9). A piston (19) of the pump assemblies is driven by the cam over a shoe (18) of the pump assemblies. Center (34) of a circular cross section (31) of the cam is spaced from an axis (2) of the drive shaft. Radius (r2) of the circular cross section of the cam is equal to a sum of a radius (r1) of the drive shaft and a distance (33) of the center of the circular cross section of the cam.
