The wheel suspension has two wheel suspension components e.g. axle carrier (22) and control arm (24), and a connection element (20) connecting the wheel suspension components in an energy-absorbing and articulated manner. The connection element comprises a longitudinal hole (26), and an axle (28) is guided in the hole. The hole is attached to one of the wheel suspension components and the axle is attached to the other wheel suspension component. The connection element comprises side pieces made of plastic ductile metal i.e. aluminum.
