The method involves gluing a genuine wood veneer (8) on a side to an oriented strand board plate (2) or an oriented strand board positive plate (1). The genuine wood veneer is provided with a lacquer as sealing. A counter traction side (9) is glued oppositely with one-sided stripping of the genuine wood veneer. The sealing of the genuine wood veneer takes place with a transparent lacquer based on acrylate-, melamin-, and/or polyurethane resin or mixtures of the resins. A precipitation of the sealing takes place with UV and/or electron beams. An independent claim is also included for an extensive covering panel comprising an oriented strand board.
