The housing (1) has a metal base (2) with a bearing for a rotary shaft i.e. torque tube, and an interface (5) for connecting the base with other components of the housing. The base is provided with a longitudinal reinforcement element (6) that is extended by the base, where the reinforcement element is made of material which has a higher elastic module, a higher tensile strength and a smaller elongation than the material of the base. The reinforcement element is cast into the material of the base, and has a surface-increasing geometry.
