The plant comprises middle- and lateral holding devices (28, 30, 32) for a central part and laterally-arranged connection parts of an axle housing. The middle-holding device is stationarily arranged and the lateral holding devices are movable relative or opposite to the middle-holding device for a pressure-welding connection relative to each other. Pressing devices (36) are arranged to the lateral holding device to press the connecting parts against the central part, and are mounted on a concave supporting device. Reference points of the central part are defined by the middle-holding device. An independent claim is included for a method of pressure welding of multiple components of a welding assembly such as an axle housing for commercial vehicles.
